Employment Opportunities

We are interviewing now for the Tax Season, starting January through April 15, 2009. We are seeking qualified candidates for seasonal positions listed below.  We offer flexible, full-time or part-time work hours in four-hour shifts (9 AM - 1 PM; 1 - 5 PM; 5 - 9 PM) during the week and on weekends in offices located throughout the Inland Empire (see Our Locations). Office Managers & Supervisors

Each office leader is responsible for managing all aspects of a professional tax office, which mainly prepares individual federal and state income tax returns during the tax season (Jan-Apr). Additional post tax season responsibilities may be available for tax preparation work as well as teaching in our tax schools. Candidate must have demonstrated tax knowledge and supervisory experience (e.g., from other tax services and/or CPA offices) with good communication skills. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: perform duties as tax-preparer as needed; assist clients with returns and complex IRS issues in a high-volume environment; schedule, teach and supervise tax preparer staff; manage office operations, and administer company policies and procedures. Office Managers and Supervisors must have current California Tax Education Council (CTEC) certification through October 31, 2009 and a surety bond. Tax Preparers

Tax Preparers must have current California Tax Education Council (CTEC) certification through October 31, 2009 and a surety bond. Tax Preparer's duties consist of preparing accurate tax returns on personal computers using Jackson Hewitt ProFiler® software provided by the Company, checking returns, offering available products and services from the Company, including electronic filing of tax returns, as well as performing general office services during the Tax Season in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures. Tax Preparers shall be responsible maintaining tax preparation skills and competency by practicing on our software.

Customer Service Representatives

Customer Service Representatives are responsible for answering the telephone, answering basic client questions, scheduling appointments and telemarketing company services and are asked to perform general office duties.

Receptionists

Receptionists perform general receptionist duties, including: greeting clients, answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, handing out client refund checks and tax packets and performing general office duties.

Couriers

Couriers are responsible for picking up and delivering various confidential tax documents, supplies and equipment to and from the various Jackson Hewitt offices using one’s own automobile. Couriers must have a valid California driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.
